Photographic examination and analysis of the life of Willi Haas, a hermit living in a part of the ‘Schlossanlage’ Germersheim. The castle-like structure was used in the second world war as a powder warehouse and had lots of little treasures in store, which were used in the photographs as props and costumes. The building was covered in thorns and a wall made out of gravestones built by Haas, which elevated the fairytale look of the scenery. Through make-up, costumes, and acting the life of Willi Haas was relived and eternalized.
